Dosage recommendations:
Equine athletes- Short, high intensity activities (like racing, polo, cross country, etc.):up to 10% in total feed for stable weight.
long, low intensity activities (like endurance, draft): 8 - 12% in the total feed.
Breeding horses-
stallions: up to 1 lb/ day during breeding season.
broodmares: up to 4 oz/ day for last 90 days of
Pregnancy -
0.5 lb to 1 lb/ day during lactation
Show horses -
2 - 3 oz per day
EPSM and Insulin resistant horses - up to double as much energy from fat than from carbohydrates.
